Our Programs

Our programs provide the link between prominent international leaders and professionals and their United States counterparts.  Through professional meetings, school visits, events, and home hospitality we connect people from around the world with these Citizen Diplomats in western Missouri and the state of Kansas.  Program topics cover a wide spectrum of professional backgrounds, such as:  Economic Development, State and Local Government, Journalism, Agriculture, Trade, Women in Politics, Leadership Development, Conflict Resolution, Interfaith Dialogue, Education and many others.

Please see our "Programs" Page for further information!

Our Visitors

Our visitors represent emerging leaders from around the world.  These visitors literally "bring the world" to Greater Kansas City. They provide a first-hand opportunity for us to learn about countries, cultures and life in the 100 or more countries who may come to our community on these exchange programs, as they learn more about the real life of Americans in the United States.

Over 250 past visitors to the U.S. on the International Visitor Leadership Program are current or former Heads of Government or Chiefs of State.  Alumni include: President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of The United Kingdom, President Alvaro Uribe Velez of Colombia, President Mwai Kibaki of Kenya, President Anwar Sadat of Egypt, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of India, Prime Minister Tony Blair of The United Kingdom,  and President F.W. deKlerk of South Africa, to name a few who have participated in these programs.

Please see the "KCIVC visitors" Page for more information.
